Bringing Your Writing to Life Package: our editing, manuscript evaluation and tutorial service

We tailor our editing services to match the needs of individual clients and organizations.

Through experience we have developed a comprehensive package which works for many full length non-fiction or fiction manuscripts: our Bringing Your Writing to Life Package, which includes editing, manuscript evaluation, and a writing tutorial. The cost varies according to the length of the manuscript and the complexity of the issues it presents (we provide you with an estimate first), but the range is typically $500 - $1,000.

With our Bringing Your Writing to Life Package, the editor’s marks and changes are made on the page.  You will also receive, in a separate document, detailed feedback on matters such as structure, style, character, dialogue, authorial voice, uses of tense, accessibility of language, and every other aspect of the manuscript.

You may provide us with key questions in advance, although some prefer to leave it to the editor to read blind. The manuscript evaluation process and the feedback document form the basis of a tutorial either face to face, via email, or phone. This tutorial will include discussion of the potential market and publishing possibilities for the manuscript once all editing is completed.

As always, our aim as service providers is to become genuinely involved in our clients’ work and to help see the project through to the end.  We want to help you bring your writing projects to life.

Please see our Testimonials page on this site. An increasing number of our clients have been published in book form through professional publishing houses in Canada. Some have become nationally bestselling authors.

My debut novel, Saint Gracious, would most likely not have been completed without Paul Butler's enthusiasm, creative editing and considerable help.  His insightful and encouraging comments were invaluable. Paul did a wonderful job of editing, pointing out inconsistencies, and mentoring my work throughout the development of Saint Gracious.
